Dedicated Schema Extensibility view
To improve clarity, scalability, and security, schema extensibility capabilities are moving to a dedicated Schema Extensibility page in CPQ. Protected by a new permission, the Schema Extensibility view enables authorized users to manage metadata-driven attributes across core resources through a structured, editable interface—separate from screen customization.
The new page features a tabbed layout that represents key platform resources (Account, Product, and Quote), driven entirely by metadata to support future expansion.
The page is divided into two main panels:
The left panel shows a drill-down list of Business Data Attributes (BDAs) and Business Relation Attributes (BRAs), which allow you to search, navigate, and manage attributes.
The right panel displays detailed metadata for selected attributes and offers editing capabilities for custom and pre-delivered attributes. (Pre-delivered attributes can’t be deleted.)
Visual analytics
A new CPQ visual analytics integration provides real-time, interactive insights to bolster pricing guidance. With visual analytics, you can:
Price with confidence
Gain transparency into recommended prices through clear, visual summaries.Price smarter
Unlock pricing power with an aggregate view of customer price points in similar micro-segments.Align pricing and sales
Reduce friction with built-in explainability in the seller’s workflow.Use customer scorecards to quote better
Make better-informed decisions with key insights into discount trends and contract compliance.
Visual analytics through Tableau is available in the application at the header and line item levels for quotes, agreements under negotiation, and published agreements. The integration maintains secure configuration and authentication for Tableau reports.
The integration supports separate configuration options to support different business needs. Dynamic parameters (filters and access rules) can be configured as properties to customize visual analytics embeds.
User interface upgrade
This release of our enhanced UI experience continues improvements to our UI framework with new List and Detail page layouts. These improvements expand customization capabilities to facilitate flexible implementations, empowering you to tailor your experience for your business needs with minimal development effort.
Remember, this version of the enhanced UI experience is intended for early adopters. Keep in mind:
You may encounter bugs or limitations.
Some features may be incomplete or change in future releases.
Product documentation may not reflect the new UI experience.
You can easily switch between the new and classic user interfaces.
Enhanced control for proposal and sales text in Classic view
This release introduces enhanced configurability for Proposal/Sales Text fields on the Quote Detail page (Classic view). Through UI profiles, administrators can now control the visibility and editability of text fields at both the Quote Header and Line Item levels based on Document Status and Sales Document Type. This update offers greater flexibility and control for tailoring quote workflows to your business needs.
Enhanced record loading in sales pipeline view
A new “All” option has been added to the Opportunity Pipeline view, allowing users to fetch and view all opportunity/lead records without being limited by the previous cap of 50 items. This enhancement enables a complete view of long-duration sales cycles and supports more effective pipeline analysis across the organization.
Confirmation step added to quote approvals through email
To prevent accidental actions, a confirmation step has been introduced in the Quote Approval Flow via Email. When users select an approval or rejection link in the email notification, they are now directed to a confirmation page before the action is finalized. This enhancement adds a layer of protection against unintended approvals or rejections initiated from email links.
Improved performance for lookup table Excel uploads
We’ve enhanced the Excel upload functionality for lookup tables to significantly improve performance when uploading large volumes of data. Users now experience faster and more efficient uploads, especially when working with thousands of records. This update ensures a smoother and more responsive data management experience.
IMCScript trigger enhancement for mass updates
The behavior of Mass Update on Sales Items has been enhanced. Previously, updates performed via Mass Update did not trigger IMCScripts. With this update, IMCScripts are now automatically triggered after Sales Item updates made through the Mass Update function, ensuring consistency in automation and downstream processes.
Security
This release includes various security fixes to improve system stability and ensure continued compliance with internal security standards.
Zilliant CLI
A new version of Zilliant CLI is now available for all platforms. Our latest version introduces usability improvements and expanded artifact support for validations to streamline your workflows.
Key updates:
You can now assign a custom alias (a short, user-defined name) to your ZOrg ID during sign-in. Once assigned, you can use the alias instead of the full ID when running commands, making command input simpler and more readable.
The validateAndResolve mode now supports additional artifact types, ensuring broader and more accurate validation.
