Manage line items

Quote line items store information about the products that you quote, including product configurations, prices, and discounts. Line items appear on the Items tab in quotes.

Add a line item

You can add a line item:

• From the product catalog
• Through the quick add feature
• From another quote
• Through guided selling

From the product catalog

1. Open a quote.
2. On the Items tab, select + to open the product catalog. For each product in the product catalog, you can make the following selections:
   • Configure—Configure the product before adding it as a line item.
   • Add & Close—Select to add the product as a line item.
   • Add—Select one or more products, then from the bottom button bar, select Add (#) to add the selected products as line items.

Through quick add

1. Open a quote.
2. On the Items tab, select and begin typing a product name or ID.
3. On the product, select +.

From another quote

To copy a line item and its configurations from another quote, follow these steps:

1. Open a quote.
2. On the Items tab, select .
3. Select one or more quotes, then select View line items of selected quote(s).
4. Select one or more line items, then select Add selected item(s).

Add a subline item

To add a line item as a subcategory of another line item, follow these steps:

1. Open a quote.
2. On the Items tab, select a checkbox near the position number of a line item to which you want to add a subcategory.
3. Add a line item. It will appear as a subcategory of the line item that you've selected in Step 2.

Add a product bundle

1. Open a quote.
2. On the Items tab, select .
3. Select one or multiple product bundles, then select Add.

Substitute a product on a line item

1. Open a quote.
2. On the Items tab, select one or multiple line items, then select .
3. Select the needed products, then select Apply Substitutions.

Duplicate a line item

To duplicate line items, select them on the Items tab in a quote, then select . Duplicated line items appear at the end of the list.

Rearrange line items

1. Open a quote.
2. On the Items tab, select one or multiple line items, then select .
3. On the Move selected line item(s) under dialog, make selection:
   • To display selected lines as individual line items, select the name of the quote.
   • To add selected lines as subcategories of another line item, select the name of the parent line item.

Make a bulk update of line items

1. Open a quote.
2. On the Items tab, select line items, then select .
3. Enter values, then select Update.

Delete a line item

To delete line items, select them on the Items tab in a quote, then select . To confirm the action, select Yes.

Filter line items

1. Open a quote.
2. On the Items tab, on the button bar above the line items list, select to open the dropdown list of columns.
3. Select a column by whose values you want to filter the list of line items.
4. In the search bar to the left from the dropdown, enter a column value by which you want to filter the list of line items.
