Each part of the Zilliant CPQ user interface has its own entry point for customizing fields, columns, tabs, or sections. While the customization dialogs offer similar functionality across the UI, the steps to access them vary depending on where you are.

Prerequisites
To access customization dialogs:
Verify that you have the UI EXTENSIBILITY PERMISSION. For details on assigning permissions, read Role management.
From the object list table
The object list table is the main table that displays all records of a specific object type, such as all quotes or all agreements. You can customize this table by adding or removing columns to control which information is visible at a glance.
To access the customization dialog from the list table:
From the application left navigation area, select an object, such as Agreements or Quotes.
In the upper-right corner of the table, select Customize, then select Customize.
In the Customize Table dialog:
Go to the Active Columns tab to configure columns.
Go to the Actions tab to configure actions users can perform with objects in the list table.
Go to the Settings tab to configure the table parameters.

From the line item table
The line item table appears in the object detail screen and displays associated line items, such as products or spare parts, included in a quote or agreement. In both quotes and agreements, this table is in the Line Items tab. You can customize it by adding and configuring columns to show the details most relevant to your workflow.
To access the customization dialog from the line item table:
From the application left navigation area, select an object, such as Agreements or Quotes.
Select a record from the list, then go to the tab with the line items table.
In the upper-right corner of the table, select Customize, then select Customize.
In the Customize Table dialog:
Go to the Active Columns tab to configure columns.
Go to the Actions tab to configure actions users can perform with line items.

From the object’s detailed information tab
The detailed information tab displays the full details of an object. In quotes and agreements, this tab appears in the object detail screen and is labeled Overview. You can customize this tab by adding fields and tailoring them to match your business needs.
To access the customization dialog from the detailed information tab:
From the application left navigation area, select an object, such as Agreements or Quotes.
Select a record from the list, then go to the detailed information tab, such as the Overview tab in agreements and quotes.
In the upper-right corner of any section, select Customize.
In the Customize Sections dialog:
Add a section or apply mass restrictions to sections.
Select Edit next to the name of a specific section. In the Customize Section dialog:
Go to the Fields tab to add and customize fields.
Go to the Visibility, Read-Only, and Localization tabs to customize the section.

From the object creation dialog
The object creation dialog is used to create a new object, such as the New Agreement dialog. You can customize this dialog by adding fields and tailoring them to match your business needs.
To access the customization dialog from the object creation dialog:
From the application left navigation area, select an object, such as Agreements or Quotes.
Select a button to create a new object, such as + New Quote or + New Agreement.
In the upper-right corner of the creation dialog, select Customize.
In the Customize Screen dialog, add and customize fields that appear in the object creation dialog.

From the object header section
The object header is the topmost section in the object detail screen. It includes the object title, buttons, and tabs, all of which you can customize to align with your business processes and user roles.
To access the customization dialog from the object header section:
From the application left navigation area, select an object, such as Agreements or Quotes.
Select a record from the list.
In the upper-right corner of the screen, above the top button bar, select Customize.
In the Customize Screen dialog:
Go to the Header tab to change the object titles and additional buttons, such as Favorite or Open Pricing Simulation.
Go to the Actions Menu tab to configure actions, such as Reports or Actions.
Go to the Tabs tab to manage tabs.

From a custom tab
Custom tabs help you organize additional information tailored to your business processes in the object detail screen. Each custom tab consists of one or more sections, which contain configurable fields.
To access the customization dialog from a custom tab:
From the application left navigation area, select an object, such as Agreements or Quotes.
Select a record from the list.
Go to your custom tab.
In the upper-right corner, under the bar with tabs, select Customize.
In the Customize Sections dialog:
Add a section or apply mass restrictions to sections.
Select Edit next to the name of a specific section. In the Customize Section dialog:
Go to the Fields tab to add and customize fields.
Go to the Visibility, Read-Only, and Localization tabs to customize the section.
