Refreshed object management areas.
In this topic, learn how to:
Make the new UI available to all users (for admins)
Allow simultaneous access to both classic and new UIs (for admins)
Allow access to customization and extensibility features (for admins)
Tip
You can also try the new UI in the Quotes view integrated with Saleseforce. Follow the procedures in this topic to learn how to work with the new UI.
Try the new UI
To try the new UI, turn on the Try New UI switch at the top of the screen.
If you don’t see the switch, ask your administrator to enable it for you.
Make the new UI available to all users
Prerequisite
You must have the ADMIN PERMISSION.
Procedure
You can make the new UI available across your environment by displaying the Try New UI switch for all users.
To enable the new UI:
From the application left navigation area, select Administration.
From the top navigation bar, select Master Data Management.
Move through or search to locate Setting Boolean and select it from the list.
Select Enable New UI.
Set the Setting Value Boolean switch to YES, then select Save.
Allow simultaneous access to classic and new UIs
Note
The Quotes view integrated with Saleseforce doesn’t support this functionality.
Prerequisite
You must have the ADMIN PERMISSION.
Procedure
Allow selected users to access both the classic and new UIs simultaneously. This helps configurators or administrators compare experiences while rebuilding custom tabs or arranging attributes.
If a user has this permission, the left navigation shows two options for objects that support the new UI, for example:
Quotes—Reflects the classic view.
Quotes (New UI)—Reflects the new interface.
To enable this access, assign the ACCESS BOTH CLASSIC AND NEW UI PERMISSION to selected user roles. For details, read Define permissions for a role in Role management.
Allow access to customization and extensibility features
Prerequisite
You must have the ADMIN PERMISSION.
Procedure
Allow selected users to access customization and extensibility features in the new UI. Users with this permission can tailor layouts, tabs, and attributes to fit their needs.
To enable this access, assign the UI EXTENSIBILITY PERMISSION to selected user roles. For details, read Define permissions for a role in Role management.
