Published agreements represent finalized, active pricing records that serve as the basis for creating transactions such as quotes and orders. You can’t edit a published agreement directly, but you can revise it to update terms, discounts, or product details as needed.
Each revision creates a new version of the published agreement while preserving the previous one. This allows you to maintain a clear record of agreement changes over time. For example, one version might include first-quarter discounts, and the next version updates them for the second quarter.
In this topic, learn how to work with published agreements:
Note
You can also access and manage agreements from the Agreements (Published) tab in accounts and opportunities, following the same process described in this topic.
Automatic generation of agreement IDs
Zilliant CPQ automatically generates unique IDs for all published agreements and their versions to help you identify and track them.
Published agreement ID
Each published agreement receives a unique, system-generated Agreement ID when it is first published. This ID remains the same for the lifetime of an agreement, even when you create and publish revisions.
You can find the agreement ID in two locations:
From the application left navigation area, select Agreement, then go to the Agreements (Published) tab. In the list of agreements, locate the Agreement ID column.
Open a published agreement. The ID is displayed in the header section below the agreement title.
Version-specific agreement ID
Each revision (version) of a published agreement receives its own unique ID. This ID distinguishes one version from another within the same published agreement.
To find the version-specific agreement ID:
Go to the Overview tab and locate the Agreement Header ID.
Example
A published agreement may have an Agreement ID 0010. Its first version has Agreement Header ID 0001. The second version has Agreement Header ID 0002. The Agreement ID 0010 stays the same for all versions.
Access published agreements
From the application left navigation area, select Agreement.
From the top navigation bar, select Agreements (Published).
Move through or search to locate the agreement and select it from the list.
In the agreement, in the upper right corner, select the agreement version.
Select a tab to view information:
Overview—View the agreement and pricing information.
Line Items—View agreement line items and their details.
Attachments—View and manage agreement attachments. For details on working with attachments, read Manage agreement attachments in Create agreements.
Partners—View and manage agreement partners. For details on working with partners, read Manage agreement partners in Create agreements.
View negotiation details
You can view negotiation details of the published agreement along with its attachments, notes, partners, approval process, and detailed view of line items. To view the negotiation details:
On the Overview tab, select a link under Linked Negotiation.
Select a tab to view the agreement negotiation details.
Revise agreements
In the upper right corner, select Revise.
The application creates an agreement revision that appears on the Agreements (Under Negotiation) tab. For details on working with an agreement under negotiation, read Manage agreements under negotiation. When you publish a revision, it appears as the latest version of your published agreement.
Deactivate agreements
You can deactivate a published agreement when it’s no longer valid or when you want to prevent it from being used in new transactions. Deactivation ensures that outdated pricing, terms, or product configurations are not applied while preserving the agreement’s history for audit and reference purposes.
To deactivate an agreement:
In the upper right corner, select Deactivate.
After deactivation, the agreement moves to an inactive state, but you can still open and view the agreement and its versions in read-only mode.
