Article summary

Agreement line items store information about products to which you apply special prices and discounts. Line items appear on the Line Items tab in agreements.

Add a line item

You can add a line item:

  • From the product catalog

  • Through the quick add feature

  • From an agreement

From the product catalog

  1. Open an agreement.

  2. On the Line Items tab, above the list of line items, select Add to open the product catalog. For each product in the product catalog, you can make the following selections:

    • Add & Close—Select to add the product as a line item and close the product catalog.

    • Add—Select one or more products, then from the bottom button bar, select Add to add the selected products as line items. The product catalog remains open.

    • More Option(s)—Select one or more products, then from the bottom button bar, select More Option(s) to view product details before adding them as line items.

Through quick add

  1. Open an agreement.

  2. On the Line Items tab, above the list of line items, select  Search and begin typing a product name or ID.

  3. On the product, select  Add.

From an agreement

To copy a line item and its configurations from another agreement, follow these steps:

  1. Open an agreement.

  2. On the Line Items tab, above the list of line items, select Add line items from other agreements.

  3. Select one or more agreements, then select View line items.

  4. Select one or more line items, then select Add.


Add a subline item

To add a line item as a subcategory of another line item, follow these steps:

  1. Open an agreement.

  2. On the Line Items tab, select a checkbox next to the position number of a line item to which you want to add a subcategory.

  3. Add a line item. It will appear as a subcategory of the line item that you've selected in Step 2.


Add a product bundle

  1. Open an agreement.

  2. On the Line Items tab, above the list of line items, select  Add a product bundle.

  3. Select one or multiple product bundles, then select Add.


Substitute a product on a line item

  1. Open an agreement.

  2. On the Line Items tab, select a checkbox next to the position number of one or multiple line items.

  3. Above the list of line items, select  Substitute a product on a line item.

  4. Select the needed products, then select Apply Substitutions.


Duplicate a line item

  1. Open an agreement.

  2. On the Line Items tab, select a checkbox next to the position number of one or multiple line items.

  3. Above the list of line items, select  Duplicate a line item.

Duplicated line items appear at the end of the list.


Rearrange line items

Add selected lines as subcategories of another line item

  1. Open an agreement.

  2. On the Line Items tab, select a checkbox next to the position number of the line items you want to move.

  3. Locate the target parent line item and right-click it.

  4. In the context menu, select Shift line item(s) > Shift to this line item.

Display selected lines as individual line items

  1. Open an agreement.

  2. On the Line Items tab, right-click a subline item.

  3. In the context menu, select Shift line item(s) > Shift to Agreement level.


Delete a line item

  1. Open an agreement.

  2. On the Line Items tab, select a checkbox next to the position number of one or multiple line items.

  3. Above the list of line items, select  Delete. To confirm the action, select Yes.
