The group profile helps users hide groups and subgroups based on specific conditions. You can define these conditions in IMCExpression.
Prerequisites
Before configuring a group profile, you should understand how to work with IMCExpression, lookup tables, and product schema.
Configure a group profile
To configure a group profile, you must:
- Create and activate a lookup table
- Create a group profile and map it to the lookup table

The lookup table must contain the following columns:- GROUP_NAME
- SUBGROUP_NAME with data record type String
Activate the table.
Create records to specify which groups and subgroups should be hidden. Create records in the UI or import a spreadsheet in Excel format.
Create a group profile and map it to the lookup table
From the application left navigation area, select Administration.
From Master Data Management, select Group Profile.
Select Add to add a row to the list, then select the new row.
Enter or make selections to set up the group profile:
- Name—Enter a name for the profile.
- links LookupTable—Enter the name for the lookup table to map.
- links LookupTable Group Name—Enter a name for the group.
- links LookupTable SubGroup Name—Enter a name for the subgroup.
- Set the Active switch to YES.
