Article summary

The dynamic attribute (DA) profile helps users hide DA values based on specific conditions. You can define these conditions in IMCExpression.

Prerequisites

Before configuring a DA profile, you should understand how to work with IMCExpression, lookup tables, and product schema.

Configure a DA profile

To configure a DA profile, you must:

Create and activate a lookup table

  1. Create a lookup table. Learn how.
The lookup table must contain the following columns:
    • DA_NAME
    • DA_VALUE with data record type String
  2. Activate the table.
  3. Create records to specify which DA or DAValue should be hidden. Create records in the UI or import a spreadsheet in Excel format.

Create a DA profile and map it to the lookup table

  1. From the application left navigation area, select Administration.
  2. From Master Data Management, select DA Profile.
  3. Select Add.
  4. Enter or make selections to create the DA profile:
    • Name—Enter a name for the profile.
    • links LookupTable—Enter the name for the lookup table to map.
    • links LookupTable DA Name—Enter a name for the group.
    • links LookupTable DA Value—Enter a name for the subgroup.
    • Set the Active switch to YES.
