Article summary

The group profile helps users hide groups and subgroups based on specific conditions. You can define these conditions in IMCExpression.

Prerequisites

Before configuring a group profile, you should understand how to work with IMCExpression, lookup tables, and product schema.

Configure a group profile

To configure a group profile, you must:

Create and activate a lookup table

  1. Create a lookup table. Learn how.
The lookup table must contain the following columns:

    • GROUP_NAME
    • SUBGROUP_NAME with data record type String
  2. Activate the table.

  3. Create records to specify which groups and subgroups should be hidden. Create records in the UI or import a spreadsheet in Excel format.

Create a group profile and map it to the lookup table

  1. From the application left navigation area, select Administration.

  2. From Master Data Management, select Group Profile.

  3. Select Add to add a row to the list, then select the new row.

  4. Enter or make selections to set up the group profile:

    • Name—Enter a name for the profile.
    • links LookupTable—Enter the name for the lookup table to map.
    • links LookupTable Group Name—Enter a name for the group.
    • links LookupTable SubGroup Name—Enter a name for the subgroup.
    • Set the Active switch to YES.
