Display a link to the Details page

You can configure the Edit Lines modal to display a link to the Details page of a line. The external link icon will appear next to the field that you have configured using the standard Salesforce Name field.

When you select the link icon, the Details page opens in a new browser tab. This allows you to easily verify information before making further changes to the line in the Edit Lines modal.

Prerequisites

Before configuring this feature, make sure that the Display Line Page link with Name field field on the Product Selector Configuration object is visible and can be edited.

If the field is not visible or cannot be edited, confirm it has been added to the object's page layout and is visible in the user's profile. For detailed instructions on how to add fields and check for visibility, refer to Make fields visible or editable.

Add a link to the line details page

1. From the Lightning App Launcher, go to the appropriate Product Selector Configuration.
2. On the Details tab, select the Display Line Page link with Name field checkbox.
3. Select Save.

Check if the Name field is visible

1. From the Lightning App Launcher, go to the appropriate Product Selector Configuration.
2. On the Related tab, in the Edit Line Dialog Fields section, confirm that there is a column record with a Name string set in the Salesforce Field and that the Table Field Order is populated.
