Zilliant CPQ ensures that you work with the latest version of configurable products. When you open a quote or work with a template, the system displays a prompt if a new knowledge base version is available.

In SSC cases, knowledge base update checks align with standard SSC behavior for configurable products and children configurations:

  • SSC architecture applies update checks to configurable products that you've manually added to line items, and to manually created parent-child relations between two configurable products.
  • In SSC integrations with ERP variant configuration, child products are controlled by parent KMATs. They always carry the parent's knowledge base version, ensuring consistent knowledge base use.

Enable prompts about knowledge base updates

  1. From the application left navigation area, select Administration.
  2. Scroll or search to locate Setting Boolean and select it from the list.
  3. Select Check if new KB version available before quote open.
  4. Set the Setting Value Boolean switch to YES.
Tip

If you disable prompts about knowledge base updates, you can run the presubmission check on quotes to check for new knowledge base versions.
