Manage templates

In Price Manager, you can configure your own templates to match your price management strategy.
Templates provide the data framework required to manage specific use cases. Also, they represent the table structures for the resulting scenarios. Data is loaded into templates from the base workbook and decision support workbook.
Learn how to:
Create a template workbook
Create a template workbook from a CSV file or an existing data source.
Configure worksheets in the created workbook:
- Define relationships to load data from base and decision support workbooks.
- Add input, related, and/or calculated columns.
- Define master-detail relationships and KPI cards.
NoteThe source for a master-detail worksheet can't be a scenario.
In each worksheet in the template workbook, next to Properties, select the dropdown icon, then select Set worksheet settings as default.
Register a template workbook
- From the Manager Dashboard, open the Template Configuration workbook.
- Go to the Templates worksheet.
- Select Insert Row, then enter information or make selections:
- Process—Select the checkbox.
- Template—Specify the name for the template workbook.
- Template Workbook—Specify the ID of the template workbook you want to register.Tip
To find the ID, open your template workbook, select Properties > Workbook properties > locate the Workbook Id field.
- Run the Extract Scenario Configuration worksheet action.
This action will populate other worksheets in the Template Configuration workbook with data from your template workbook.
Now you can proceed to configure data load and publishing.
