Enable product data synchronization

To synchronize product data between SAP ERP and Zilliant CPQ, follow these steps:

  1. Complete necessary configuration in SAP ERP.
  2. Sign in to Zilliant CPQ with your administrator credentials.
  3. From the left navigation area, select Administration.
  4. From the top navigation bar, select Data Management.
  5. In the ERP Data Synchronization section, set the switches for the needed product data types to YES. Available switches:
    • Product
    • Unit of Measurement
    • Classified Data
    • Product Attachment
    • Sync Product Variant
Note

If you're syncing product data of various types, follow this synchronization order:

  1. Synchronize units of measure and product hierarchy.
  2. Synchronize the product data along with classification data if needed.

Enable classification data synchronization

To enable synchronization of products with their classification data, including classes and their characteristics, enable a separate setting in Zilliant CPQ. Follow these steps:

  1. From the Zilliant CPQ application left navigation area, select Administration.
  2. From the top navigation bar, select Master Data Management.
  3. Scroll or search to locate Setting Boolean and select it from the list.
  4. Select SettingProductSyncDownloadClassification.
  5. Set the Setting Value Boolean switch to YES.

Set the class for classification data

In SAP ERP, classification data can be maintained in various classes. The SettingClassificationToLoad setting indicates what class to use for the classification data. The default class is 001.

To configure this setting, follow these steps:

  1. From the Zilliant CPQ application left navigation area, select Administration.
  2. From the top navigation bar, select Master Data Management.
  3. Scroll or search to locate Setting String and select it from the list.
  4. Select SettingClassificationToLoad to list the classes.
