Zilliant AI CPQ Assistant (Beta) allows you to embed smart chat capabilities directly in the CPQ sales user workflow. Engage CPQ Assistant to:
- Evaluate products. From provided feature specifications and documentation, CPQ Assistant facilitates decisions with product summaries, comparisons, and suggestions.
- Generate recommendations. By analyzing inquiries to understand context and requirements, CPQ Assistant offers swift and relevant product recommendations.
Using CPQ Assistant, you can quickly retrieve product information and provide precise, verified answers to customer questions.
Set up CPQ Assistant
CPQ Assistant generates meaningful insights and recommendations based on product documentation you provide to CPQ.
How to request this feature
CPQ Assistant is a Beta release and available to Zilliant CPQ customers by request. Contact your Zilliant representative for details.
Valid documentation formats
The following table lists valid formats for documentation you can upload to CPQ:

To keep CPQ Assistant up to date, remember to sync when you upload or delete documentation in CPQ.
Upload product documentation
- From the left navigation area, select Products.
- Select a product row.
- From the top navigation bar, select Attachments.Note
If you don't see this menu item, select Open dropdown menu at the right end of the navigation bar, or select the left and right arrows to move through the navigation bar.
- Select Add file(s) and upload the desired documentation in a valid format.
- From the left navigation area, select Administration.
- From the top navigation bar, select Operation Settings.Note
If you don't see this menu item, select Open dropdown menu at the right end of the navigation bar, or select the left and right arrows to move through the navigation bar.
- From the top sub-navigation bar, select System Settings.
- Move down to the bottom of the page to Zilliant AI CPQ Assistant (Beta).
- Select Sync.
Delete product documentation
- From the left navigation area, select Products.
- Select a product row.
- From the top navigation bar, select Attachments.Note
If you don't see this menu item, select Open dropdown menu at the right end of the navigation bar, or select the left and right arrows to move through the navigation bar.
- Select the checkbox for the desired documentation, then select Delete.
- From the left navigation area, select Administration.
- From the top navigation bar, select Operation Settings.Note
If you don't see this menu item, select Open dropdown menu at the right end of the navigation bar, or select the left and right arrows to move through the navigation bar.
- From the top sub-navigation bar, select System Settings.
- Move down to the bottom of the page to Zilliant AI CPQ Assistant (Beta).
- Select Sync.
Use CPQ Assistant
To use CPQ Assistant, select Zilliant AI CPQ Assistant from the bottom right of the CPQ application. Go to the Ask me a question text field and enter a request with at least one product name.
For example, CPQ Assistant enables you to request:
- What are the weight and dimensions of product A?
- Give me a product summary of product A.
- Compare product A with product B.
CPQ Assistant then generates a reply based on documentation you provide to CPQ, along with links to related products and their documentation.
