Proposal report templates

Learn how to create, configure, and generate proposal report templates and additional report and subreport templates.
Proposal report templates are .jrxml
files located in Administration > Content Management > jasperreports.
Upload the proposal report template into the system
To upload the new template file into the system, perform the following steps:
- From the application left navigation area, select Administration.
- From the top navigation bar, select Content Management, the select jasperreports.
- Select , then select the file to upload.
The file's extension must be .jrxml
.
Define a proposal report template
- From the application left navigation area, select Administration.
- From the top navigation bar, select Master Data Management.
- Scroll or search to locate Proposal Report Template and select it from the list.
- Select .
- Select the newly added line to define the template:
- Name—Enter the name for the template.
- Primary Object—Select an object for this proposal template.
- Default in CPQ—Set to YES if you wish this template to be a default option in CPQ application.
- Default in commerce—Set to YES if you wish this template to be a default option in eCommerce portal.
- Sub Report Template—Assign subreport templates, if configured. Report and subreport templates have a parent-child relationship. For more information, read Additional report and subreport templates.
- Select Save.
- The report's name must match the template file name that you have uploaded to the content management system.
- The file's extension must be
.jrxml
.
Configure a proposal report template
Assign templates to a specific user role
Administrators can assign report templates to specific roles.
- From the application left navigation area, select Administration.
- From the top navigation bar, select Role Management, then select a role.
- Select the Access Management tab, then select Report Template.
- In the Report Template popup, select the template you have defined.
- Select Update.
Sign out and sign in again for the change to take effect.
Define template's title parameters
Configure the name of the report template file to include the following information:
- Quote Id
- Quote Reference
- Quote Title
- Template name
- From the application left navigation area, select Administration.
- From the top navigation bar, select Master Data Management.
- Scroll or search to locate Setting String and select it from the list.
- Select The format for quote report title.
- Define parameters for the title.
- Select Save.
Set a default proposal report template per user
Administrators can also define a default set of report templates for each specific user.
- From the application left navigation area, select Administration.
- From the top navigation bar, select User Management, then select a specific user.
- In Account Information, define default proposal and excel report templates.
- Select Save.
Generate a quote proposal template
- From the application left navigation area, select Quotes.
- From the list of quotes, select a desired quote.
- Select Reports > Generate Proposal.
- In the Generate Proposal popup, from the Proposal Templates dropdown, select a desired template.
- Select Download.
