Enhanced error messages
PM-E-133
Enablement requirements
- To get this update, upgrade Price Manager. Contact your Zilliant representative to learn more.
- No additional configuration is required.
Description
Starting from this release, notebook services communicate with IQ Interface on which Price Manager is built to handle and return error messages. Such error messages are available in the dashboard execution log and in the worksheet activity log. This enhancement reduces your dependency on the Zilliant team, as it provides you with sufficient data to diagnose and resolve issues independently.

Enhancement to the Price List Management quick start
PM-E-120
Enablement requirements
- This feature is not automatically enabled in your environment. To get this update, request a new Price Manager install.
- Additional configuration is required. The End Date feature works for the Price List Management quick start. If a project uses custom base data tables, this feature will not function as intended.
Description
We introduce an improved method for identifying active prices in the Price List Management quick start. We added the End Date column to multiple worksheets and removed the ActiveRank and IsFuturePrice columns. The active status of a price now depends on its start and end dates. As a result, data processing is now faster, especially when you create, refresh, or publish a scenario.
Logic of the End Date column:
- You can leave the End Date field empty.
- If you add a new price with the latest start date compared to other prices, the application will automatically set its end date to 1/1/2099.
- If you add a new price with a start date that comes before the end date of a previous price, the application will automatically update the end date of the previous price to be one day before the start date of the new price.
IDs of affected worksheets:

Simplified configuration of the data load
PM-E-129
Enablement requirements
- This feature is not automatically enabled in your environment. To get this update, request a new Price Manager install.
- Additional configuration is required. There is no migration script for the Source Data UI. You must set it up manually.
Description
We've streamlined the process of setting up the loading of data into your templates. Previously, this process required cumbersome, time-consuming manual mapping of worksheets and columns. With this update, we've added a user-friendly UI section in the Worksheet Properties dialog to simplify the process. This new Source Data section is intuitive and easy to navigate. As a result, the configuration is now faster, easier, and more efficient.

- Quick Start for Global and Country Price Lists
- Workbook scenario creation
Quick Start for Global and Country Price Lists
The Quick Start for Global and Country Price Lists streamlines price management functions for global companies. This solution offers a standardized price waterfall and a variety of global and country list management functions that ease the effort of managing diverse price lists.
With this quick start:
- Easily update global list prices as costs change, using pre-defined cost pass through strategies
- Perform currency conversions to calculate country list prices
- Make country factor adjustments to list prices
- Provide scoped user access to centralized and decentralized pricing teams in the same system of price management
You have a centralized, global view of pricing across your business. Users can work independently on different areas of responsibility, such as country and product categories.
Workbook scenario creation
You can now create scenarios from an existing workbook. This allows you to update and compare information as part of the pricing process, without modifying the data source until ready.
In the Scenarios worksheet, view previously created scenarios and navigate quickly from a hyperlinked field. When you open a specific scenario, a blue banner in the header indicates you are in a scenario workbook or worksheet.
Breadcrumbs are provided in the banner, allowing you to go back to the source workbook or worksheet. This ensures updates will be in the appropriate place and you can direct others to a designated area to test and analyze price changes.
