Due to Salesforce packaging rules, some fields that are needed for Deal Manager configuration may not be visible. If you do not see a field that you need to complete the configuration for a specific object, you must perform additional steps to enable it on the object and make it visible in a user profile.
Enable a field on a target object
- Go to Setup, then go to Object Manager.
- Find the object you want to configure.
- For that object, go to Page Layouts and select the appropriate layout.
- Drag the field you need to the layout, then select Save.
Make a field visible in a profile
- For the object you are configuring, go to Fields & Relationships.
- Select the needed field.
- Select Set Field-Level Security.
- Select the Visible flag for your profile, then select Save.
Note
Sometimes this procedure will not make a field visible or editable in your profile. In this case, you may need specific permission sets enabled to work with the object or field. Contact your Salesforce administrator to resolve this issue.
