Define a scenario configuration
- From the App Launcher, go to Scenario Configurations, then select New.
- In the New Scenario Configuration dialog, enter or select values:
- Scenario Configuration Name—Enter a name for the configuration.
- Unique Nickname—Enter a nickname for the configuration.
- Target Object dropdown—Select an object.
- Select Save.
Configure custom scenario list columns
Define columns that will appear on the Scenarios tab.
Note
Each column is a field from the header object of the Deal Manager document being configured.
- From the App Launcher, go to the appropriate Scenario Configuration.
- On the Related tab, in the Scenario List Columns, select New.
- In the New Scenario List Column dialog, enter or select values:
- Scenario List Column Name—Enter a name for the column.
- Salesforce Field—Specify the API name of a needed column.
- Label Override—Optionally specify a column label that should be shown instead of the default label.
- Text Wrapping—Select the expected behavior of the field value.
- Field Order— Define the order of columns.
- Column Width—Set the width for the column.
- Resizable—Clear this value to prevent changes to the column width on the Scenarios tab.
- Visible By Default—Clear this value if you do not want to show this column.
- Select Save.
Configure custom scenario highlights fields
You can define fields that will appear in the Highlights section of the Compare dialog. When configured, each field appears as a row that compares the same value between two documents.
Note
Each field being compared is a field from the header object of the Deal Manager document being configured.
- From the App Launcher, go to the appropriate Scenario Configuration.
- On the Related tab, in the Scenario Highlight Fields, select New.
- In the New Scenario Highlight Field dialog:
- In the Scenario Highlight Field Name, enter a user-meaningful name of the column.
- In the Salesforce Field field, specify the API name of a needed column.
- Clear the Visible By Default flag if you do not want to show this column.
- Specify Field Order to define the order of columns.
- In the Label Override field, optionally specify a column label that should be shown instead of the default.
- Select Save.
