Administrators can set up and configure email notifications in their mail server. CPQ supports the following protocols:
- SMTP—Simple Mail Transfer Protocol.
- STARTTLS—A protocol command to inform the email server that the email client wants to upgrade to a secure connection using TLS or SSL.
Configure mail server settings
- From the application left navigation area, select Administration.
- From the top navigation bar, select Operation Settings.
- Select Email Settings.
- Define property values:
- SMTP Host—The SMTP server to connect to. Example: smtp.office365.com.
- SMTP Server Username—Default SMTP username. For example, notifications@inmindcloud.com.
- SMTP Port Number—SMTP server port to connect to, such as 25, 57, or 465.
- SMTP Authentication—Defaults to False. If set to True, the server attempts to authenticate the user using the AUTH command.
- To enable STARTTLS on the Server—Defaults to False. A value of True enables the use of the STARTTLS command (if supported by the server) to switch to a TLS-protected connection before issuing login commands.
- SMTP Server Password—Server password.
- Select Save.
