Prerequisites

Before configuring this feature, make sure that the following fields are visible and can be edited:

  • Product Selector Configuration object:
    • Product Filter Field Set
    • Line Filter Field Set
  • Workspace Filter Field Set on Workspace Configuration object
  • Filter Field Set object:
    • FilterFieldSet Name
    • Default Displayed Filter Field
  • Filter Field object:
    • Name
    • Column Label
    • Field Name of Column (for SOQL query)
    • Type

If the fields are not visible or can't be edited, confirm that they have been added to the object's page layout and are visible in the user's profile. For detailed instructions on how to add fields and check for visibility, refer to Make fields visible or editable.

Configure search filters

  1. From the Lightning App Launcher, go to the Filter Field Set tab and create a new filter set.
  2. On the Related tab, in the Filter Fields section, select New.
  3. In the New Filter Field dialog, enter or specify values:
    • Name—Enter a name for the filter.
    • Column Label—Specify a label for the column that will appear in the filter dropdown.
    • Field Name of Column (for SOQL query)—Enter the API name of a field from the object you will be filtering. For Add Lines, that should be a field from the Product2 object. For Line Items and Workspace, enter zpl_ContractLineItem_c, zpl_PriceLookupLine_c or zpl_DealLine_c.
    • Type—Select a Filter field type.
  4. Select Save.

Add search filters to the filter panel

  1. From the Lightning App Launcher, go to the appropriate Product Selector Configuration (or the Workspace Configuration for Workspace).
  2. On the Details tab, enter or specify values:
    • Add Lines—In the Product Filter Field Set, enter the name of the filter field set created for Add Lines.
    • Line Items—In the Line Filter Field Set, enter the name of the filter field set created for Line Items.
    • Workspace—In the Workspace Filter Field Set, enter the name of the filter field set created for Workspace. You can reuse the field field set from Line Items if needed.

Pre-populate filters

You can optionally configure the Add Lines, Line Items, and Workspace filter panels to have them automatically pre-populated with a specific filter field from the Filter Field Set Related list. This saves users time by having the most commonly-searched field ready to use when they first open the filter panel.

Prerequisites

Before configuring this feature, make sure that the following fields are visible and can be edited:

  • Default Displayed Filter Field on Filter Field Set object
  • Product Filter Field Set and Line Filter Field Set on Product Selector Configuration object
  • Workspace Filter Field Set on Workspace Configuration object.

If the fields are not visible or can't be edited, confirm that they have been added to the object's page layout and are visible in the user's profile. For detailed instructions on how to add fields and check for visibility, refer to Make fields visible or editable.

Procedure

  1. From the Lightning App Launcher, go to the appropriate Product Selector Configuration (or the Workspace Configuration for Workspace).
  2. In the Details tab, enter or select values:
    • Add Lines—Select Product Filter Field Set.
    • Line Items—Select Line Filter Field Set.
    • Workspace—Select Workspace Filter Field Set.
  3. In the Filter Field Set dialog, select the Details tab, then select the pencil-shaped edit button in the Default Displayed Filter Field.

Tips
  • You can check the available Filter Fields by looking in the Related tab. You can also start a type-ahead search in the Default Displayed Filter Field, then select Show All Results for … to see a list of available filter fields that match the partial type-ahead string.
  • If the Filter Field Set is modified, the Default Displayed Filter Field might also change. Therefore, any time you modify the Filter Field Set, be sure to check that the Default Displayed Filter Field is still correct.
  1. Select Save.
