When possible, Zilliant documentation avoids using biased language. We have maintained some terms to avoid affecting customer implementations.

Users can attach physical files (such as PDF documents, Microsoft Word files, or Microsoft Excel spreadsheets) to any business object, including accounts, opportunities, and quotes. Users also can add links that point to files or folders on collaboration platforms such as SharePoint, Dropbox, or SAP Jam.

To facilitate these user actions, define attachment usage rules:

  1. From the Zilliant CPQ application left navigation area, select Administration.
  2. From Master Data Management, browse or search for Attachment Usage, then select it to define attachment rules.

For each attachment usage entry, you can further define the visibility of an attachment or link.

Users can select the attachment usage when uploading attachments or links on the business object.

For attachments in quotes, you can include links. However, long links are truncated and can't be copied. To get around this limitation, hover over a link, then right-click and select Copy link address.
