The Refresh Automatically toggle allows you to control how data is refreshed in a worksheet.

In some situations, such as when working with large datasets, you may want to hold immediate updates to your worksheet as you make changes. By using this toggle, you can disable automatic refreshes to your worksheet while working, and then enable it to update calculated fields and KPI cards.

By default, this toggle is not visible. You must add it to each worksheet where you want it to appear.

To add the Refresh Automatically toggle to a worksheet:

  1. Select Properties.
  2. On the Worksheet General Properties page, select the Show "Refresh Automatically" Toggle option, then select Save.

The toggle appears at the top of the worksheet, in enabled mode.
