Article summary

Price IQ supports multiple methods to review and investigate optimized prices, and offers two worksheets to get started:

  • Price Review—Provides visual analytics that enables you to compare impacts across multiple scenarios.
  • Price Details—Provides interactive data grade that includes all parameters needed to audit an optimized price.

Both worksheets are automatically available in each scenario workbook.

Price Review

The Price Review worksheet enables you to visually analyze and compare projected impacts across multiple scenarios. The following image shows an example of the Price Review worksheet.

To compare optimized prices against their associated order history, drill down the desired prices.

Price Details

The Price Details worksheet supports a deep investigation into optimized prices, including the key parameters Price IQ uses to generate these prices. The following image shows an example of the Price Details worksheet.

You can expand each step of Price IQ's optimization to view the associated inputs.

The Price Details worksheet also allows you to compare a price against its order history. To do this, right-click a price row and select Analytics > Backcast. Linked analytics information appears in a slide-out panel in the worksheet.

Price Details worksheet actions

The Price Details worksheet supports the following worksheet actions:

  • Optimize Prices—Optimizes prices in the scenario.
  • Optimize Price with Line Edits—Optimizes selected prices without applying strategies from the strategy worksheets. This allows fine-grained control through inline edits of prices and their parameters in the Price Details worksheet. To select prices for this worksheet action, go to the Apply Strategy column and select needed prices.
    Note

Price IQ considers the inline edits temporary. The application will overwrite them the next time you refresh or optimize a scenario.

  • Publish Prices—Pushes all optimized prices from the scenario into your connected price management system and into the Negotiated Prices > Publish Price History worksheet.
  • Push to Analytics—Pushes all scenario's current price details into the shared analytics. Contact your Zilliant representative to learn more about this worksheet action.
  • Apply Strategies—Applies strategies from the strategy worksheets to the Price Details worksheet. This action mimics the optimize prices action.
