Configure translatable header

Article summary

If you select the Show Parameter Group Name checkbox, then the left-most column label of the Line Parameter Group displays its default Parameters header label.

You can override the default header value with a custom value. To use a custom header, select the Use Translatable Header checkbox. You can translate the custom header to a user's language, if desired.

Prerequisites

Before configuring this feature, make sure that the following fields are visible and editable:

  • Use Translatable Header field on Line Parameter Group object.
  • Translatable Header field on Line Parameter Group object.

If the fields are not visible or editable, you must confirm that they are added to the object's page layout and are visible in the user's profile. For detailed instructions on how to add fields and check for visibility, refer to Make fields visible or editable.

Enable translatable header

To use a custom label for the parameters column header or to use its translations, select the Use Translatable Header checkbox on the Line Parameter Group record, and then configure the translation.

Important

If you select the Use Translatable Header checkbox but do not provide a translation or an override label in the Translation Workbench, you will get an error message that the column header label is not found.

Configure a custom column header label

  1. Go to Setup > Translation Workbench > Override.
  2. Select the following filter criteria:
    • From the Package dropdown, select Zilliant Price Lookup.
    • From the Language dropdown, select the English language.
    • From the Setup Component dropdown, select Custom Field.
    • From the Object dropdown, select Line Parameter Group.
    • From the Aspect dropdown, select Field Label.
  3. In the table, find the Translatable Header field.
  4. In the Field Label Override column, specify the custom column label.
  5. Select Save.

Configure column header translations

  1. Configure Translation Workbench:
    1. Go to Setup > Translation Workbench > Translation Language Settings.
    2. In the Supported Languages section, select Add to select the languages your organization supports.
  2. Configure translation for the column header:
    1. Go to Setup > Translation Workbench > Translate.
    2. Select the following filter criteria:
      • From the Language dropdown, select a language.
      • From the Setup Component dropdown, select Custom Field.
      • From the Object dropdown, select Line Parameter Group.
      • From the Aspect dropdown, select Field Label.
    3. In the table, find the Translatable Header field and specify translation in the Field Label Translation column.
  3. Select Save.
