The main navigation has been redesigned to provide a cleaner and more organized way to access application features. Related functions are logically grouped, reducing the number of items displayed at once and providing more space for the main application content.
The navigation provides three primary ways to access functionality: the main menu, the Create menu, and the Settings menu.
Main Menu
The main menu provides access to the primary business areas of the application, such as:
Home
Inbox
Dashboard
Accounts
Activities
Opportunities
Quotes
Agreements
Orders
Equipment
Products
By default, the navigation is displayed in a compact view using icons to maximize the available workspace.
Move the pointer over the navigation area to expand the menu and display the corresponding menu names. Move the pointer away from the navigation area to return it to the compact view.
Create Menu
Frequently used creation actions are grouped under the + Create button at the top of the navigation.
Select + Create to access available creation actions, such as:
Create Account
Create Contact
Create Lead
Create Opportunity
Create Quote
Create Agreement
This provides a single, consistent location for starting the creation of business objects without adding individual creation actions to the main navigation.
Settings Menu
Administrative and configuration functions are grouped under Settings at the bottom of the navigation.
Select Settings to access the available configuration areas, such as:
Administration
Schema Extensibility
System Processes
Model
Lookup
Pricing
Grouping these functions under Settings keeps administrative capabilities separate from everyday business navigation and makes the main menu easier to scan.
Navigation Experience
The redesigned navigation provides:
Cleaner navigation — Primary business areas are separated from creation and administrative actions.
More workspace — The compact navigation occupies less horizontal space when not in use.
Quick access — Hover over the navigation to see menu names without requiring an additional click.
Centralized creation actions — The + Create menu provides one location for creating business objects.
Organized administration — Configuration and administrative functions are grouped under Settings.
