Add lines to your agreement or deal by importing them directly from a comma-separated value (CSV) file.
Import a CSV file
In your Agreement, select New Import.
Select the Import type.
Select Next.
NoteIn Deal Manager, the default configuration for CSV line import supports only insertion of new lines; it does not update existing lines. Your implementation team can configure update of lines through CSV import if required.
Select a CSV file to load, then select Next.
The system checks the file, then displays its name. You can change the file by uploading another file. If you do this, the previous file is deleted and the name of the new file appears.
Select or change import settings to define how the file is formatted. These are:
- Column separator
- Decimal separator
- Date Format
Select Next.
In the Mapping section, map the columns in the CSV file to the columns in the entity table. The CSV columns appear in alphabetical order.
Notes- You must map at least one column to enable import.
- If one or more columns in the CSV file match the system name of the entity column, they are mapped automatically.
- You can leave one or more columns unmapped.
- After you have mapped a column, you can either change its mapping or unmap it.
Select Next.
The system checks the file. If there are no errors, the file is ready to import. If the system detects errors, correct them or import the file without the error lines.
Select Done.
