The Zilliant-developed Line Items component offers a range of options for editing lines. Configure this component to enable tasks, appearance, and actions. You can:
- Enable users to select, edit, or delete specific line items.
- Display Edit and Delete action buttons that affect selected lines.
- Display inline Edit and Delete action buttons on each row.
- Define complex rules that determine whether users can edit specific line items. For example, you can define rules to prevent a certain user from editing Active lines, or ensure that a specific user can edit only lines for customers in the Southeast Region.
- Add and configure Workspace that acts as a sandbox environment for experimenting with lines.
- Enable a Mass Edit action that performs formulaic bulk edits on selected line items.
Note
Zilliant's recommended method for enabling this component in the Lightning record page for contracts, price lookups, and deals is to place it inside the standard Salesforce Tabs component, in a tab named Line Items.
You can edit lines in the Line Items component in different ways.
You can use:
- Edit action button that appears in the upper right area of the component.
- Mass Edit action button that appears in the upper right area of the component.
- EditProducts action (typically labeled as Edit Lines) that appears in the Salesforce standard Highlights Panel component.
