There are two types of action buttons on Zilliant components:
- Custom actions
- Standard Deal Manager actions
You can configure each of these types to be conditionally displayed.
Conditionally display standard action buttons
- Select Setup in the top right corner of the component's list, then select Edit Page.
- In the Lightning App Builder, select the component's tab.
- Select the component (for example, Line Items) in its placement on the Lighting record page for your Contract, Price Lookup, or Deal objects.
- In the properties panel, in the Conditional Display Field, specify the API name of a checkbox field (formula or standard) on a header object that will determine whether a specific action button will be visible. If the checkbox field's value is True, the button will be visible; if False, it will not be visible.
For example, there could be a field called IsEditable_c that resolves to True when an agreement is in Draft status. When this field name is entered in the Conditional Display Field, then the Edit button will be shown only for quotes in the Draft state. If the Conditional Display Field is left blank, the button will always be visible.
- Select Save.
Conditionally display custom action buttons
Prerequisites (only for custom actions)
Before configuring this feature, make sure that the Conditional Display Field on the Action Configuration object is visible and can be edited.
If the field is not visible or can't be edited, confirm that the field has been added to the object's page layout and is visible in the user's profile. For detailed instructions on how to add fields and check for visibility, refer to Make fields visible or editable.
Procedure
- From the Lightning App Launcher, go to the appropriate Product Selector Configuration.
- On the Related tab, in the Action Configurations section, select Edit for the action button you want to customize.
- In the Conditional Display Field, specify the API name of a Boolean field (standard or Salesforce formula) on a header object that will determine whether a specific action button will be visible. If the Conditional Display Field is left blank, the button will always be visible.
- Select Save.
