Enable lines to be deleted

Workspace lets you experiment with changes to lines and then easily revert those changes. If a line is assigned to Workspace and you change a value, Workspace retains the line's previous value. You can revert the changed line in Workspace to its previous value, even if you make multiple changes to the line.

When a line is assigned to Workspace, no other users can edit that line or assign it to their Workspace. When you remove the line from your Workspace, other users can then edit the line or add it to their own Workspaces for exploratory changes. Also, when you remove a line from Workspace, all its previously saved changes are lost.

In the default workflow, you cannot delete an agreement or quote line while it is in Workspace. You can remove it only from Workspace itself, and then you must find it in the Line Items list to permanently remove it there.

Permanently delete lines in Workspace

You can enable an optional Delete action for Workspace so that Deal Manager users can permanently delete quote or agreement line items directly in Workspace. You can do this only to lines that are marked as Deletable in the Line Items list.

1. Select Setup in the top right corner of the Line Items list, and then select Edit Page.
2. In the Lightning App builder, select the Line Items component's tab.
3. Select the Enable Workspace Delete checkbox.
4. Select the Workspace Delete Row Action checkbox.
5. Select Save, and then select Back to exit the Lightning app builder.
