Create an agreement in the Agreements list

  1. From the Agreements tab, select New.
  2. In the New Agreement dialog, select or enter details to create the agreement:
    • Account—Search for and select the account to associate with this agreement.
    • Agreement Name—Enter a unique name for the agreement.
    • Start Date—Adjust as needed. By default, this is set to seven days from the agreement creation date.
    • End Date—Adjust as needed. By default, this is set to one year from the Start Date.
  3. Select Save to save the agreement, or select Save & New to save the agreement and create another one. Either option causes a confirmation message to appear.
  4. Select the link in the confirmation message to open the new agreement.

At this point, your new agreement consists only of a header. Once you add lines to your agreement, all corresponding calculated fields in the header will display meaningful values.

Create an agreement in the Accounts list

If you choose to create an agreement in the Accounts list, you can easily review and verify that you have selected the correct account before creating the agreement. The system automatically enters the Account Name for you during this process.

  1. In the list of Accounts, select an account name to open it and review its details.
  2. Select Related, and in the related list of agreements, select New.
  3. Select or enter details to create the agreement:
    • Agreement Name—Enter a unique name for the agreement.
    • Start Date—Adjust as needed. By default, this is set to seven days from the agreement creation date.
    • End Date—Adjust as needed. By default, this is set to one year from the Start Date.
  4. Select Save to save the agreement, or select Save & New to save the agreement and create another one. Either option causes a confirmation message to appear.
