Data Explorer requires properly-formatted transactional data uploaded through Zilliant. For more details, read Add core data.
Depending on the page in Analytics, examples of supported input are:
How many units of Product A were sold in City X last week?
Show me the revenue trend of my three largest product categories.
Which products currently have the lowest margins?
Show me the forecast of sales for beverage customers.
Why did sales drop in fall of 2025?
Use Data Explorer
Go to the top of a page.
Select the Data Explorer bar.
Enter a question or instruction relevant to the current page and select Ask, or select a pre-configured prompt.
Data Explorer shares:
How Data Explorer interpreted your input, displayed in an Interpreted as section below the Data Explorer bar.
Results of your input. Depending on how many results are generated, move down the modal to see more.
Alternate interpretations of your input, if any, displayed in a Did you mean… section to the left of the results.
A summary of the results, displayed to the left of them.
To expand these details, select Enter Fullscreen Mode.
To collapse these details, select Exit Fullscreen Mode.

Analyze Data Explorer results
Data Explorer provides visuals and a results summary with most generated results.
To view visuals associated with each line in a summary, hover over the line. Data Explorer highlights the associated visual with a heavy solid border.
Change a visual's graph type
Hover over an answer.
Select Change Visual Type.
Select a graph type.
View AI-generated insights for a visual
Hover over an answer.
Select View Insights/Forecasting.
Expand a visual
Hover over an answer.
Select Expand Visual.
To return to all generated results, hover over the visual and select Collapse Visual.
View how Data Explorer generated a visual
Hover over an answer.
Select Options > View explanation.
Select Next or Previous to view each step of the explanation.
Select Back to answer to return to your input result.
Export a visual as a CSV file
You can export a visual’s data to perform your own analysis. To export a visual as a CSV file:
Hover over an answer.
Select Options > Export to CSV.
