Search and filter records

Prev Next

A framework is a step-by-step pricing model that calculates prices by applying sequential elements. You can filter records in a framework, and search and filter records in each framework element. This helps you view how your active pricing is working based on a subset of data, or how your active pricing affects specific products or customers.

Prerequisites

You must be familiar with frameworks and how they work.

You must have the appropriate role.

For example,

If you want to search and filter records in your organization’s active pricing, read the prerequisites for viewing active pricing.

Active and unpublished records

When you select a framework element, then select a scope, the application displays a table. The top of the table displays the number of active and unpublished records for that scope.

Filter all records

You can apply global filters across all your pricing records. If you select a filter and a record doesn’t have a value for that filter, the system still displays it.

For example,

If you filter records by a region and only captured region values in your adjustments, the system then displays only the following records:

  • Costs

  • Adjustments that match the selected region

  • Adjustments that don’t have a region attribute value

To filter all records:

  1. Select FilterListRounded.svg. This displays attribute filter options applicable to your data. Expand options to view more.

  2. Select or enter one or more attributes.

  3. Select Apply.

Filter records in a framework element

You can apply multiple, additive filters to a framework element’s scope. If you select a filter and a record doesn’t have a value for that filter, the application still displays it.

For example,

If you filter records by a region and only captured region values in your adjustments, the system then displays only the following records:

  • Costs

  • Adjustments that match the selected region

  • Adjustments that don’t have a region attribute value

To filter records in a framework element:

  1. Select a framework element.

  2. Select a scope in the framework element.

  3. Select FilterListRounded.svg.

  4. Select Add Filter.

  5. Select or enter values for the following fields:

    • Attribute—(Optional.) Only displays dropdown options applicable to the records in the framework element’s scope.

    • Rule—Required if you select a value for Attribute and Value; determines how to filter records based on an attribute and a value.

    • Value—(Optional.) Only displays dropdown options applicable to the records in the framework element’s scope. If you select a value in the Attribute field, the Value field then only displays dropdown options applicable to records with the selected attribute.

  6. Select Apply.

Remove a filter

  1. Select a framework element.

  2. Select a scope in the framework element.

  3. Select FilterListRounded.svg.

  4. Go to a filter and select DeleteRounded.svg next to it.

  5. Select Apply.

Search for records in a framework element

When you select a framework element and a scope, the system displays the scoped records in a table. You can search for records with certain values in their table columns through the app’s search feature.

  1. Select a framework element.

  2. Select a scope in the framework element.

  3. Select SearchRounded.svg.

  4. Enter a value to filter records for. The system accepts partial and exact text values, but not misspelled values. For example, the system will display records whose column values contain ā€œsouā€ or ā€œsouthā€, but not ā€œsouht.ā€
