Your organization’s active pricing is the pricing model actively calculating prices for your organization. When you and your team create possible pricing scenarios, these scenarios use your active pricing as a foundation.

You can view your active pricing as a framework, or as Key Performance Indicator (KPI) cards based on the transaction data time frame. You can also view KPIs for each record in your active pricing. The default KPI time frame is the previous 365 calendar days from the last transaction and transaction line data import.

In a scenario, viewing your active pricing as KPI cards helps you see how unpublished updates in a scenario will change your KPIs.

Details

Estimated margin

Projected difference between sales revenue and the associated cost. Zilliant displays a value for this KPI only when you select a calculated table.

In a scenario, this KPI updates to reflect changes.

Actual margin

Current difference between sales revenue and the associated cost. This KPI is calculated exclusively from transaction data and indicates profitability and pricing effectiveness. Monitor this KPI to uncover potential issues with pricing, discounting, product mix, or cost increases.

Margin difference

Difference between actual margin and estimated margin. Zilliant only displays a value for this KPI when you select a calculated table.

In a scenario, this KPI updates to reflect changes.

Percent of total margin

Current percentage of sales revenue that remains as profit after deducting associated costs. This KPI indicates profitability and pricing effectiveness. Monitor this KPI to uncover potential issues with pricing, discounting, product mix, or cost increases.

For example,

If you filter your data down to one product, this KPI tells you if that product accounts for 10% of your total revenue.

Actual revenue

Current total sales revenue before deducting associated costs. A top-line KPI that reflects the overall income-producing capability of your organization. Use this KPI to assess growth, performance, and the effectiveness of your pricing strategy.

Percent of total revenue

Current percentage of total sales revenue before deducting associated costs. Use this KPI to assess growth, performance, and the effectiveness of your pricing strategy.

Actual volume

Current quantity of units sold or shipped during the filtered time frame. Use this KPI to measure operational throughput, market demand, and product performance. This KPI can also help you isolate growth driven by increased demand and by pricing.

Percent of total volume

Current percentage of units sold or shipped during the filtered time frame. Use this KPI to measure operational throughput, market demand, and product performance. This KPI can also help you isolate growth driven by increased demand and by pricing.

  1. Select an adjustment group.

  2. Select a scope. The system displays KPIs as column headers.

Change the KPI timeframe

The default KPI time frame is the previous 365 calendar days from the last time that transaction and transaction line data was imported. When you change the timeframe, your selection is saved and applies the next time you open the app.

To change the KPI time frame:

  1. Select the KPI data from dropdown.

  2. Select a dropdown option.
