Description

Applications

Zilliant solutions that a member can access, such as analytics or price management.

Roles

Collection of capabilities assigned to a member in each Zilliant application they can access. Only Admins can assign roles to members.

Capabilities

Specific actions a member can take in their Zilliant applications.

Common questions about roles

Are roles instance-specific?

No. Role assignments apply to all applications that a member can access.

Can I assign more than one role to each member account?

Yes. Each role grants a set of capabilities to a member on the Zilliant platform and in applications.

Can I change the capabilities granted by a role?

No. You cannot individually add or revoke capabilities granted by a role.

Can I create roles?

No. Roles—and the capabilities granted by each role—are defined in each application.

Do I have to assign a role to a member account?

No. However, a member without at least one assigned role won’t be able to view any data.
