To link a product BOM to the existing knowledge base: 1. From the application left navigation area, select **Products**. 2. Select a product. 3. From the top navigation bar, select **Knowledge Base**. 4. On the knowledge base row, select ![](https://cdn.document360.io/24f960e8-3c1c-4c18-a2c6-83b6ae4aab84/Images/Documentation/CPQ-icon_three%20dots.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-02T13%3A47%3A44Z&se=2026-11-02T14%3A47%3A44Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=FtI%2FZfxvstnjPQOwxn0XZRhl8w7K%2FKzSg8wlp5qtF6E%3D), then select **Edit knowledgebase**. 5. In the **Uses BOM** field, select the needed BOM. 6. Select **Update**. ### I don't know how to define a range trigger based on the quote's sales organization To define a range trigger based on the quote's sales organization, [create a quote attribute](/v1/docs/create-quote-attributes-kbtriggerrelation) with the following search expression: `Quote().hasSalesOrg.objectERPId[0]` Then define the range trigger by following [these steps](/v1/docs/define-range-triggers#define-range-restrictions-based-on-a-quote-attribute). A trigger, also known as *KBTrigger*, is a rule that allows to automatically explode a product BOM, assign attribute properties, calculate attribute values, and more. Triggers also allow you to limit attribute values to ensure that users can create only a valid configuration of the product.
