Your locale settings determine the format of numbers. Your locale settings do not affect other users; they are unique for each user. Note Locale preferences are set in your Salesforce org. 1. Select your profile from the top right of the app window. 2. Select **Settings**. 3. In the left panel of the **Personal Information** page, select **Language & Time Zone**. 4. Select a locale from the list of options, then select **Save**. If the new locale setting supports a different convention than the previous setting, the format of numbers that appear in the app changes automatically. #### Example If your locale setting is **English (United States)**, numbers appear as: 1,199.19 If you change to the **French** locale setting, the same number appears in the app as: 1199,19 #### Limitations When performing formulaic bulk updates, defining calculated columns, or defining KPI cards, you must use a . (period) as the decimal separator, regardless of the decimal separator for your preferred locale settings. However, you can use your regional decimal separator when entering or pasting numbers directly into worksheet cells.
