# About extension points

System extension points include a predefined Groovy script object. To use system extension points, [upload and configure a Groovy script](/v1/docs/upload-a-groovy-script).

Groovy script objects for system extension points are defined with a **Type** of **System Used**. You cannot delete or rename these objects.

Important

Do not manually create Groovy scripts with the **System Used** type. The system ignores these manually created scripts.
